CCAEJ ANNOUNCES MITZI ARCHER AS NEW PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mitzi Archer makes history as the first Black woman to serve as President of the Board of Directors

Jurupa Valley, CA – CCAEJ is announcing Mitzi Archer as the newly elected president of the Board of Directors. An advocate and Inland Empire leader, she promises a new future for the direction of CCAEJ as our organization steps forward from the pandemic year.

Archer brings tremendous experience and enthusiasm to the board of directors. “As a passionate advocate for community organizing and environmental justice, I look forward to a leading role at CCAEJ, an organization that has committed to this fight for over 40 years. With new leadership, I look forward to building a sustainable and environmentally friendly community for all residents of the Inland Valley Region.”

As environmental justice and racism moves front and center in the national conversation, Archer looks to make CCAEJ a primary voice to uplift the Inland Valley Region’s most vulnerable and neglected communities stories. As Executive Director Alma Marquez states, “Archer brings many years of organizational leadership that will help amplify the work we are doing at CCAEJ. We are both eager to roll up our sleeves and continue to serve the most vulnerable communities of the Inland Valley Region.”
