CCAEJ Welcomes Gubernatorial Candidates Tom Steyer and Betty Yee to the Inland Empire

The Center for Community Action and Environmental Justice (CCAEJ) was honored to welcome gubernatorial candidates Tom Steyer and Betty Yee to the Inland Empire for a firsthand look at the environmental and public health challenges facing our communities.

During their visits, the candidates participated in toxic tours and discussions with residents, community advocates, staff, and board members to learn more about the impacts of pollution, inequitable land use, and the findings outlined in CCAEJ’s Region in Crisis reports.

CCAEJ believes meaningful leadership begins with showing up, listening, and learning directly from frontline families. Invitations were extended to all gubernatorial candidates, and that invitation remains open to anyone seeking to better understand the issues impacting Inland Empire frontline communities.

We encourage residents to research all candidates, stay informed on the issues impacting their communities, and submit their ballot by June 2.

This statement is issued on behalf of CCAEJ and does not constitute an endorsement of any candidate or political party.
