The four pillars of our work—Community Base-Building, Policy Advocacy, Coalition Building, and Legal Support—guide our efforts to educate, organize, and empower communities to advance environmental justice and lasting systemic change.

Community Base Building
Community Education
We equip residents with knowledge on environmental and social justice through tailored workshops, educational materials, and media outreach. Our EJ Ambassador Program has trained six cohorts in topics like land use, housing, voter power, and just transition.

Civic Engagement
We empower communities to take part in local decision-making. By expanding the Ambassador Program with civic training, hosting forums, and working with local leaders, we help residents become active voices in shaping policy.

Coalition Building
We believe that collective action is essential to achieving environmental justice. Our goal is to forge strong alliances with diverse stakeholders to amplify our shared impact. We do this by reinforcing partnerships among impacted communities and aligned organizations, facilitating regular meetings to exchange strategies and resources, and developing joint campaigns that address urgent environmental, social, and economic issues.

Legal
We use the law as a tool for justice. Our legal support includes community education, partnerships with legal experts, and direct assistance in fighting harmful environmental practices and defending community rights.

Policy Advocacy
We push for policies that protect frontline communities. From promoting key reports like Region in Crisis to tracking legislation and building strategic alliances, our advocacy ensures community voices are heard in policy spaces.
