Ana Gonzalez Appointed Chair of California Transportation Commission’s Interagency Equity Advisory Committee

Jurupa Valley, CA — The Center for Community Action and Environmental Justice (CCAEJ) proudly announces that its Executive Director, Ana Gonzalez, has been appointed Chair of the Interagency Equity Advisory Committee (IEAC) for the California Transportation Commission (CTC).
The Interagency Equity Advisory Committee was established to ensure that California’s transportation investments and policies advance equity, address historic disparities, and prioritize the needs of underserved communities. As Chair, Gonzalez will help guide statewide strategies that integrate equity into transportation planning, funding decisions, and infrastructure investments.
Gonzalez brings years of leadership in environmental justice and community advocacy to the role. She has served as a member of the Interagency Equity Advisory Committee for the past three years, contributing her expertise and perspective to the committee’s work advancing equitable transportation policies. Under her direction, CCAEJ has become a leading voice in advancing clean air, equitable transportation, and community-centered environmental policy throughout Inland Southern California and across the state.

As Chair, Gonzalez will help strengthen partnerships between government agencies, community organizations, and policymakers to ensure equitable outcomes in transportation planning.

About the Interagency Equity Advisory Committee (IEAC)
Started in 2023, the Committee consists of up to 15 members and is intended to elevate diverse and historically marginalized voices. During open public meetings, members review, advise, and provide recommendations to shape transportation-related plans, programs, and policies developed by CalSTA, Caltrans, and the California Transportation Commission.
