Our Story
The Ontario Alliance is a diverse group of community organizations coming together to guide the process of economic, social justice in underserved communities throughout the Greater Ontario Area. In doing so, the Alliance recognizes the importance of balancing development with the preservation of these historically overlooked areas and its inhabitants. Through collaboration, the Alliance is creating tangible and equitable solutions for these communities by listening to peoples’ needs and utilizing resources from local partners and governmental initiatives. Their mission is ultimately to develop sustainable socio-economic solutions and build pathways that can lift up disadvantaged groups within their communities. Together, we can make a real difference in ensuring that all our citizens have equal opportunity and quality of life.

The Center creates partnerships with organizations that are working on issues related to environmental justice, social justice and economic development. The goal of the Center is to build a strong movement for change that recognizes the connections between environmental and worker exploitation, and oppression on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation and class, and incorporates that connection in the primary activities of the Center.
